A few notes of interest:

    1. The three-gymnast-per-country rule for the all-around final and two-gymnasts-per-country for event finals did not come into effect until after 1972.

    2. It's unfortunate when a gymnast qualifies to a World or Olympic team or final and has to withdraw due to injury (i.e. Kerri Strug qualified to the all-around, floor, and vault finals at the 1996 Olympics but couldn't compete) but this qualification is not reflected in points. It is simply too hard to obtain lists of qualifiers in addition to the actual participants.

    3. The 1994 Team World Championships in Dortmund and the 1994 World Championships in Brisbane are considered one team, mostly because it's unfair to all the other gymnasts and the two competitions could be combined to form one single meet. So if a gymnast happened to competed at one or both meets, they are given 1.00 regardless. (Most countries had nearly identical teams for each meet anyway.)

    4. In the few cases where a gymnast competed for more than one country, the gymnast appears on both pages, i.e. Roza Galieva is on Russia and Uzbekistan's page.
